Dr. Davis's Exam Style

Besides teaching CHEM247 (Orgo 2 for Majors) in Fall 2020, this is Dr. Davis’s first time teaching CHEM 241 and BCHM 462 since 2012.
Dr. Davis’s exam questions are long, but conceptually straightforward and molecules are simple and non-complicated. However, his exam wording can make a reaction or 3-D conformer "look" more confusing.
While most CHEM 241 and BCHM 462 professors just talk all the way through lecture and continually introduce new reactions, Dr. Davis will take 5 minute breaks so students can “mentally breathe.”
Dr. Davis provides his students with enough exams (unlike ~50% of UMD professors) - 3 semesters worth WITH ANSWER KEYS including finals - to prepare you for midterms and the final.

Why Tutor with Me for Dr. Davis's CHEM 241 and BCHM 462?

Learn to Sound Smart with Your Professor - Learn how to shine among your peers by visiting office hours often with "smart" questions ready in hand - I'll teach you how and what questions to ask and get the most out of 1-on-1 face time during professor office hours.

Focus on What's "Actually" Tested - I emphasize topics that I know have been historically tested on in your class during our sessions. I'll reinforce really important subjects that you'll need to know to pass your exams and get your desired grade.
