CHEM 271 is a 2 credit class (instead of usual 3) that learns fewer chapters than Chem 2 at other schools. Students may not learn enough Chem 2 material for MCAT or DAT studying.

CHEM 271 Lecture & 272 Lab are unique classes to UMD only. They are taken after Orgo 2 and designed so that students cannot opt out of 272 via transfer credit.
